SERVE diligently – that’s the parting message left by Penang Development Corporation (PDC) general manager Datuk Rosli Jaafar for some 400 staff at his farewell gathering here.

Rosli, 60, has served the state and PDC for almost 29 years.

“I hope that all of you will continue to serve the corporation professionally. Be creative and have the right attitude.

“Being innovative is the key to success. We must not only do our best in our daily job, we must be ready to do ‘extra’ to help the team grow.

“Do not be afraid to learn more and be participative,” he said in his speech during the farewell gathering at PDC in Bayan Baru today.

Those present gave him a thunderous applause for his successful years of service and wished him all the best in his future undertakings.

Rosli started serving PDC as an architect in 1990 and was promoted to be a manager of the PDC Architect Division two years later.

He was also the corporation’s Development Planning Division deputy general manager in 2000, before he was promoted to be the general manager of PDC in October 2006 – the post which he had held until today.

Farewell, Datuk Rosli!
