PENANG State Secretary Datuk Seri Farizan Darus announced on July 1 that the Penang Governor’s official birthday celebration which falls on July 11 will be celebrated at the end of September.
Since the birthday falls during the month of Ramadan, all official celebrations and award ceremonies will be carried out later.
However, on July 10, an early celebration will be held with a Thanksgiving prayer (Bacaan Yassin dan doa selamat) and also a breaking of fast (buka puasa) event at the official opening of Masjid Timah in Permatang Pauh, Central Seberang Perai at 5.30pm.} else {
