Grand Imperial to enhance Penang’s status

CHIEF Minister Lim Guan Eng hopes the food at the Grand Imperial Restaurant will be the latest attraction to Penang after the buffet meals at 59Sixty in Komtar.
“We hope this addition situated at Level 6, Komtar will enhance Penang’s status as an international and intelligent city.
“I was informed that Only World Group (OWG) is a joint venture with Buckingham Dynasty Sdn Bhd to operate a new Grand Imperial Restaurant in Penang as well as to provide banquet hall services at Komtar,” he said when officiating the Grand Imperial Restaurant opening charity night on June 21 at The Top, Level 6 Komtar.
Joining the Chief Minister were OWG chief executive officer Datuk Seri Richard Koh and its chief operating officer Datuk Jean Koh.
Also present were Grand Imperial director Datuk Tan Choon Kiat and managing director Rand Cheung Wing Shing and hundreds of guests invited for the function.
Grand Imperial has six outlets within Klang Valley and one outlet in London.
The group showcases Cantonese delicacies, dim sum and Hong Kong noodles, among others.
The Penang outlet has a seating capacity of 500 persons while the banquet hall can host up to 1,000 people.
During the function, a charity auction was held, where the proceeds of RM71, 338 were channelled to the Silver Jubilee
Home For The Aged in Sungai Dua.
