Innovative summit to attract thousands this October

ENTREPRENEURS and corporations can look forward to the Asia Innovatif+ Summit, happening this October.

Creatifplus Sdn Bhd director Steve Wee said the Asia Innovatif+ Summit would be held on Oct 19 and 20.

“We hope to attract some 2,000 participants from countries in Asia.

“We have speakers and successful entrepreneurs who will be sharing their experiences with the participants during the two-day event.

“We will also be having the Asia Innovatif Awards 2019 on Oct 18,” Wee said in his speech at G Hotel Kelawei today.

Also present were state Domestic and International Trade, Consumer Affairs and Entrepreneur Development Committee chairman Datuk Abdul Halim Hussain, Creatifplus director Tan Li Mei and advisor Datin Winnie Loo.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said that Malaysia was in transition to be a developed nation by harnessing creativity, innovation and technology.

“Development of these aspects will help to add value to our products and services.

“I want to thank the organiser for selecting Penang to kick start this ‘Innovatif’.

“I believe that we are on the right track to use this platform to learn how to be creative and to make businesses profitable,” Chow said.

Chow said companies have no choice but to be innovative to remain competitive.

He encouraged companies to adopt new ways of conducting businesses as Penang heads toward Industry 4.0.
