One of the top three lowest priced supermarkets in Kuala Lumpur is now in Penang.

HeroMarket had its grand launch here at All Seasons Place in Bandar Baru Air Itam today.

It was officiated by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow. This is the first HeroMarket outlet in the northern region.

It offers low-priced groceries, fresh market, bakery, and many other household items.

HeroMarket also launched their RM2 concept store named NOKO on Level One.

The term ‘NOKO’ is derived from the Hokkien dialect for RM2.

HeroMarket director Francis Teng said that the supermarket offered direct farm goods.

“We offer fresh and high-quality farm goods that we purchased directly from the farmers and fishermen.

“Shoppers should look out for our Hilo (exclusive brand) merchandise to enjoy high-quality food and non-food products that are reasonably priced.

“We also constantly engage the community through social programmes besides offering low-priced products,” Teng said.

Chow expressed his delight over the opening of the supermarket.

“We are happy that Teng chose Penang as his first investment in the northern region.

“Thank you for choosing Penang as the location to expand HeroMarket’s network in Malaysia.

“Penangites are smart when it comes to choosing good quality products with reasonable price,” Chow said.

Also present was Belleview Group managing director Datuk Sonny Ho.

To celebrate their first venture in Penang, HeroMarket is now offering free membership card application until Dec 31, 2018.

The supermarket is also offering the ‘1 day 1 special priced item’ promotion for 10 days, in-conjunction with the grand opening.
