NGO contributes oxygen concentrators to state Health Department

THE Che Hoon Khor Moral Uplifting Society handed over a total of 27 sets of Heavy Duty Series Breathing Oxygen Concentrators to the state Health Department today.

The handover ceremony was witnessed by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow. He thanked the association for helping to meet the needs of the Covid-19 patients at hospitals and quarantine centres.

“The Che Hoon Khor Moral Uplifting Society has heeded the call by the state government. The state has welcomed all non-governmental organisations (NGOs), corporate sectors as well as the community to join hands in ensuring there is an adequate supply of medical equipment at healthcare centres and quarantine centres.

“Medical equipment such as the oxygen concentrators are deemed as important to optimise the recovery of Covid-19 patients who have breathing difficulties at hospitals and quarantine centres.

“Most importantly, it could also help to reduce the death rate of Covid-19 patients. The oxygen concentrator can be a life saving medical device for patients,” said Chow after witnessing the handover ceremony at the Che Hoon Khor Moral Uplifting Society this morning.
