PDC welcomes new GM and deputy GM

PENANG Development Corporation (PDC) deputy general manager (Planning and Development) Mohd Bazid Abd Kahar has been promoted to be the new general manager of the corporation.

 

Mohd Bazid, 59, was appointed as the general manager of PDC following the retirement of former general manager Datuk Rosli Jaafar, 60, on Feb 20.

 

Mohd Bazid, a man of vast experience, has served PDC for more than 39 years.

Throughout his years of service, he has won two Excellent Service Awards – in 1995 and 2009; and has been conferred the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian in 1992, Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (2000) and Bintang Cemerlang Negeri (2005) for his service to the community.

 

Meanwhile, PDC senior deputy general manager (Implementation) Yeoh Lean Huat has also been promoted to be the deputy general manager of PDC.

 

Yeoh, 59, has served the corporation for more than 34 years.

He has been awarded four Excellent Service Awards from 1998 to 2010; and has been conferred the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian in 1998, Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (2012) and Bintang Cemerlang Negeri (2017) for his service.

 

Mohd Bazid and Yeoh were given the letters of promotion in Komtar today by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow. They will begin their roles with immediate effect.

 

Chow congratulated and encouraged them to continue their excellent service to the community.
