EXERCISING one’s right to vote, for better economic development, and love for the state, are among the reasons most Penangites are coming out to vote on Aug 12.

A check found that most voters have also made up their minds on who they would vote for.

Wong, who is from George Town, said exercising one’s right to vote is crucial.

Wong had also made up his mind on which candidate would get his vote.

Planning executive T.C. Khor, 27, from Jelutong, said she followed the news on social media throughout the election campaign period.

“Sometimes, when I happened to come across a certain ceramah, I would stop and listen to what the candidates have to say.

“I believe that I have made my decision on who will get my vote. Yes, I will be voting on Aug 12,” she said.

Reporter Chan Chin Hoo, 36, who has been following the election campaigns had also decided who would be getting his vote.

The selection of leaders is pivotal; we must entrust individuals who are unwaveringly dedicated to nurturing sustained development, amplifying prosperity, and cultivating a dynamic ecosystem abundant with employment prospects for every Penangite.

“My vision for Penang encompasses its evolution into a contender among cities renowned for their streamlined LRT systems and thriving communal spaces, bolstering the state’s overall competitiveness.

“I hold the aspiration that both the present and succeeding generations can take pride in Penang as not just a location, but a genuine home. This home should be equipped with top-tier facilities and amenities, alongside globally esteemed educational and occupational openings,” Koay said.

Engineer Ng Si Jie, 34, from Bukit Mertajam, would also be voting on Aug 12.
