THE matter of seat negotiation between the Penang Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) for the upcoming state election will now be decided by the presidential council.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who is also the state PH chairman, said the seat negotiation talks at state level have been concluded.

“We will leave it to the presidential council to decide on the seat allocation.

“Although I don’t have the specific date yet for their final decision, I am sure that they will announce it soon,” he said when asked by a journalist about the progress of seat talks between PH and BN.

Chow also added that he would seek an audience with the Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak on June 27 for consent to dissolve the State Legislative Assembly on June 28 to pave the way for the state election.
