THE Penang Port Commission (PPC) has voiced its support for the Penang government and its initiatives.
Led by PPC chairman Jeffrey Chew, the team from PPC paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister this afternoon. Also present were the Commission’s general manager Monaliza Suhaimi and Chew’s personal assistant Thor Wen Wynn.
“We wish to work closely with the state government and we hope that the Chief Minister can bring Penang to greater heights,” Chew said in Komtar today.
Besides congratulating Chow, the delegates discussed issues pertaining to the operations of the North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT), traffic conditions near Butterworth and Penang Port, tourism and tour packages, cruise engagement, land, infrastructure development, ferry services and future plans.
