Ride across three states

PENANG aims to be the first cycling state in the country and strongly supports cycling.
This year, the Tristate 160 Fellowship Ride will be the “marathon” for cyclists who will cover a 160km ride covering three states, i.e. Penang, Kedah and Perak.
They will be flagged off at Autocity Juru before heading south towards Selama, Kedah, and crossing the border to Selama, Perak, and then back to Kulim, Kedah.
The ride will end at Juru, clocking a total of 160 km.

“The TriState ride has been extended to a full 160 km to qualify as a century ride ie 100-mile ride. The committee has decided to make it a full century since most serious cyclists are benchmarking their performance on a century. Of late there has been a plethora of century rides in every state and Penang would not like to be left behind.” Said Datuk Dr. Lim Seh Guan, the chairman of G Club, in a press conference at Komtar.

“We have worked hard to keep the registration fee low although the cost of things have gone up due to the declining value of the ringgit. The fee is RM130+6% GST for Malaysian and RM160+6% GST for non-Malaysian,” Lim added.d.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0].appendChild(s);
