AS the saying goes – “In a world where you can be anything, be kind!” – charity is vital for the well-being of society.

Taking this virtue at heart, the Che Hoon Khor Moral Uplifting Society organised the ‘Harmony Charity Food Fair’ where the proceeds from the fair will be channeled to 12 charitable organisations in Penang.

“Penang-Lang and Malaysians as a whole, are known for their charitable and hospitable qualities as well as our helpful nature.

“Whenever there are disasters, we will be the first one to come forward to give a helping hand, be it in terms of monetary or volunteering just to ease the burden of the needy.

“I understand this year is the 17th edition of this annual event (Harmony Charity Food Fair) where it aims to raise some RM200,000 to be given to 12 different charitable organisations in Penang,” said Chow at the food fair.
