PENANG Pakatan Harapan (PH) will wait for further instruction from its central leadership before deciding on any political pact with Barisan Nasional (BN) to face the upcoming state election.

Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who is also the state PH chairman, said the PH central leadership would be meeting with the BN top leadership soon to discuss the matter.

“We will wait and see what transpired from that.

“The PH central leadership will inform us at the state level about the general principles, seat allocation and others once a decision is made.

“In short, we will be playing our role in line with the decision made at the national level,” Chow said when asked by a journalist about the matter during the Women’s Day programme at Design Village Outlet Mall in Bandar Cassia today.

When asked about the 30% women candidates quota for the upcoming state election, Chow replied the state PH coalition did not have enough women candidates to consider.

“I have said this many times. It is not that we do not want to implement a 30% women candidates quota. We do not have enough women candidates to consider as of now,” he said.
