Winners of Buletin Mutiara contests selected

CHOOSING the winners for the Buletin Mutiara’s colouring contest, ‘Teguh Bersama Raya Bermakna,’ and poster drawing competition, ‘Raya Dirai Masyarakat Madani,’ was quite a challenge for the panel of judges.

However, the panellists – Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Wong Yuee Harng and state Economic Planning Unit (BPEN) senior assistant secretary B. Jevartnam – finally selected the winners during the final round of the selection process yesterday (Aug 21).

The top three winners for Buletin Mutiara’s colouring contest, ‘Teguh Bersama Raya Bermakna,’ will be receiving RM500 (1st prize), RM300 (2nd prize) and RM200 (3rd prize) respectively.

Apart from that, a total of five consolation prizes will be also awarded, each worth RM50.

For the top three poster drawing competition winners, they will receive the cash prizes of RM700, RM500 and RM300 respectively.

Meanwhile, the winners of the crossword puzzle competition, called ‘Silang Kata ‘Dari Gabenor Ke TYT,’ were also selected. It was jointly organised by Buletin Mutiara, Penang State Museum and Art Gallery.

The top three winners of the crossword puzzle competition will receive cash prizes worth RM300, RM200 and RM100 respectively.

The ‘Vlog Hari Buletin’ competition had one top winner who will be entitled to a cash prize of RM1,000.

Two consolations worth RM100 each will be also given.

For the ‘Vlog Raya’ competition, two consolations winners were also chosen. They will receive RM100 each.

While commending the various competitions organised by Buletin Mutiara, Jeeva and Wong also shared their suggestions.

“Perhaps, for the next round, Buletin Mutiara could organise a competition such as decorating the trishaws which are our heritage,” Jeeva said.

Wong appreciated the participants for taking part in the competitions and also hoped that Buletin Mutiara would become a good childhood memory for children.

“We hope that Buletin Mutiara will continue organising the various competitions and carry out more activities for the kids,” he added.
