A TOTAL of 75,884 people will receive financial aid from the Penang state government soon.
State executive councillor for Welfare, Caring and Environment Phee Boon Poh announced that 36,020 would be eligible for the Golden Student Scheme Phase 1 (RM100 each), 24,995 for the Senior Citizen Appreciation Programme Phase 2 (RM130 each) and 14,869 for the Single Mother Aid Programme Phase 1 (RM100 each).
The money for the students will be disbursed from Sept 24 to 28 for all districts, and for seniors and singles mothers from Sept 22 to 28, Sept 29-30 and Oct 1-5 depending on their districts.
Phee reminded recipients to fill up forms to migrate from cash to electronic fund transfer.
