AUDIOPHILES and music enthusiasts are welcome to attend the 2nd Northern International Audio and Visual Show 2024 at the Amari SPICE Penang in Bayan Lepas from today until this Sunday (April 26 until 28), from 10am to 6pm.

 

Organised by Gryphon Production and supported by the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), the three-day programme promises to be a celebration of cutting-edge technologies and innovations in the high-end audio and visual industry.

 

With over 40 unique exhibitors at the event, attendees from afar and near will have the opportunity to explore the forefront of audio and visual excellence.

 

This includes international exhibitors from Singapore, Lithuania, Canada, Taiwan, Thailand, Denmark, Australia, and the United States of America.

 

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who officiated the event, said this premier event promises to be a sensory journey for audiophiles and music enthusiasts alike.

 

“As we embark on this journey celebrating the latest advancements in audio and visual technology, it fills me with great pride and pleasure to witness the convergence of innovation and creativity in the ‘Pearl of the Orient’.

 

“This event underscores progress, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of audio and visual experiences.

 

“Aligned with the vision outlined in Penang2030, this event stands as a significant milestone in our journey towards shaping Penang into a dynamic and forward-thinking metropolis,” said Chow in his speech.

 

Chow added that the success of this event will be a testament to the potential of Penang as a hub for technological innovation and a prime location for investment.

 

“As we move forward, we will continue to leverage on events alike to drive investment and contribute to the flourishing economic growth of Penang,” he said.

 

According to Chow, this event is anticipated to attract approximately 7,500 visitors throughout these three days.

 

“Furthermore, it is estimated that this event will have an estimated economic impact (EEI) of RM13.48 million, a figure that underscores the significant contribution of events like these to our economy.

 

“This event not only stimulates economic activity but also creates opportunities for growth, innovation, and collaboration, ultimately contributing to the betterment of our people and city,” said Chow.

 

Also present during the opening ceremony were Kebun Bunga assemblyman Lee Boon Heng, Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Wong Yuee Harng, Chief Minister Incorporated (CMI) general manager Datin Bharathi Suppiah, PCEB chief executive officer Ashwin Gunasekeran, and Gryphon Production director Wilson Teoh.
