AFTER over 30 years, the installation of ‘anti-bird’ device has managed to overcome bird problem in Komtar.
PDC Setia Urus chief executive officer Datuk Ang Choo Hong said the company recently installed the device on the ledges of the Komtar building and shop lots, to prevent birds from perching.
“The device has managed to solve our long-standing problem. Komtar has been suffering from bird dropping issues for a long time,” Ang told a press conference in Komtar today.
PDC Setia Urus electrical engineer Mohan Raj said the bird control device consists of needle-like rods made of stainless steel and a long plastic base.
Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng said the device could bring forth a cleaner Komtar.
“The shop owners and tenants are happy with the results. They can run their businesses in a clean and comfortable environment,” he said.
