‘Circus on Ice’ is now in Penang!

HAVE you ever wondered how it feels watching a circus show but the entire performance is carried out on the ice?

 

If yes, then what are you waiting for? Come and join the excitement!

 

‘Circus on Ice’, presented by the Great British Circus (Malaysia), is now at Auto City in Juru until Feb 16.

 

The audience will be amazed with plenty of breathtaking performances consisting of acrobatic moves, figure skating, dangerous stunts through tightrope walking and many more.

 

Buletin Mutiara managed to attend their show last night and was impressed by it.

 

The show also was injected with.. some humour, dance and a modern theatrical presentation, making it even more entertaining.

The circus on ice also showcases beautiful costumes and lighting, making the performances as captivating as possible.

The two-hour show started with a fascinating acrobatic performance that required a great body balancing, agility and motor coordination of an artist.

The audience then was entertained by a visually stunning glow in the dark performance, known as ‘cube juggling’, entrolling the captive crowd.

Apart from that, the crowd also had the opportunity to be part of the show by participating in one of the games, such as the juggling act.

The ‘Circus on Ice’ also features Elsa and Olaf, popular characters from the global box office movie, ‘Frozen’, which bring cheers to the children.

After that, the crowd was amazed by the archery skills of a performer, who used her leg to shoot a balloon blindfolded!

The audience also was entertained by penguins dance inspired by a well-loved film character from a popular movie, Madagascar.

Another main highlight of the show was ‘The Wheel of Death’.

Through it, performers would dance on suspended spinning wheels while doing some breathtaking moves, such as jumping the rope, splits and more on the wheel itself while maintaining their body balance.

There was also a fire performance that involved the manipulation of fire by turning it into some heart shape, flower and others.

Last but not least, the crowd was entertained by performers walking along a thin tightrope while sitting on a chair and riding a bicycle on the rope or some other actions.

The event also was officiated by the state Tourism Development, Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin.

The prices for tickets are RM40 for standard, RM60 for hot seat and RM80 for VIP seats for adults, while for children, it ranges from RM20 to RM60.
