COLLABORATIONS between the Penang government and the industries are needed to realise the Penang2030 vision, says Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo.

Jagdeep said that for the state to move forward, Penang and the industries must work together towards the same goal.

“We aspire to realise the Penang2030 vision of ‘A Family-Focused Green and Smart State that Inspires the Nation’.

“And we can achieve that vision through science and technology.

“We need the industries’ cooperation to realise this vision,” he told a media conference after visiting Motorola Solutions Malaysia in Bayan Lepas today.

Jagdeep said he had been visiting the factories in Penang for the past three weeks.

“I am happy to learn that, generally, our industries and factories are doing well in Penang.

“The Penang government will continue to assist them so that we can grow together in the state,” he said.

Jagdeep added that Penang has to constantly attract global players to the state to move forward.

“Therefore, the state has to ensure that it is ready for these players to come,” he said.

Jagdeep was also briefed by Motorola Solutions Malaysia during his visit.

Also present were its vice-president and managing director Solomon Lorthu, and country human resources manager Mohamed Anwar Rahaman.
