CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 wrapped up in Penang with strong momentum, reaffirming its role in accelerating digital transformation for SMEs across Malaysia.
Organised by CTOS, the country’s leading credit reporting agency, the event brought together government leaders, business owners, and industry experts.
Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo officiated the event and outlined Penang’s strategic goal of becoming the “Silicon Valley of the East” at Setia SPICE Convention Centre on June 12.

“With our strong electrical and electronics (E&E) ecosystem, world-class infrastructure, and growing digital economy, Penang is ready to lead the next wave of smart, sustainable growth.
“CTOS is building a robust ecosystem that enables SMEs to grow, compete, and lead in the digital age,” Jagdeep said in his speech.
Meanwhile, CTOS Director Pau Min added that the company’s mission goes beyond credit reporting, which is it acts as a business partner and ecosystem enabler for SMEs.

The event featured key panel discussions on digitalising SMEs with speakers from the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK), Digital Penang, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Samenta, and SME Corp, and many others.
Participants gained practical insights on artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability, e-invoicing, digital tools, and more from partners such as AWS, Samsung, LHDN, Pos Malaysia, and Unifi Business.

Building on successful editions in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, CTOS SME Biz Day will continue in Johor Bahru on June 12, and in Kuching on Aug 19.
