Developer giving back to community

 

AS part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, a local-based property developer today has given 1,000 packets of basic necessities to four state constituencies in Penang.

The four constituencies are Padang Kota, Batu Lancang, Paya Terubong and Batu Maung.

GSD Land (M) Sdn Bhd general manager Cheng Swee Im presented the items to Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow in a brief handover ceremony at Komtar.

Chow thanked Cheng for GSD Land’s contribution, worth RM50,000, during this challenging time.

Cheng told Buletin Mutiara that the company has been consistently practising its CSR.

“We are happy to contribute to the society, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic.

“We hope these basic necessities can help to assist the constituents,” she said.

Also present were state Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin, who is also Paya Terubong assemblyman, state Entrepreneurial Development Trade and Industry Committee chairman Datuk Abdul Halim Hussain, who is also the Batu Maung assemblyman, Batu Lancang assemblyman Ong Ah Teong and GSD Land (M) Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Khoek Su Kiang.
