THE burning passion and dreams of being businessmen led two close friends – Simon Joseph and Charlie James – to set up My Bread Cafe in China Street in George Town.
“We had plans to open a bakery in Penang since a few years ago, to cater for local customers,” James told Buletin Mutiara, when met at the official opening of the outlet on July 4.
He said he has been in the bakery line for 10 years, while Joseph has involved himself for five years in the same line.
Prior to setting up My Bread Cafe, the duo has been supplying their delicacies to customers in Kedah
and Perak, apart from those in Penang.
The official opening of the outlet was jointly conducted by Deputy Chief Minister 11 Prof. Dr. P. Ramasamy and Bishop Emeritus Antony Selvanayagam.
My Bread Cafe currently supplies breads, cakes and pastries for business purposes and functions like weddings, engagements, birthdays and farewells on a take-away basis.
“We have plan to incorporate a cafe set-up at our outlet soon,” Joseph
said.
The outlet is situated at 59, China Street.
