Education is key to a better future, says state rep

THE impact of Covid-19 has driven students to be more adaptive.

 

Bukit Tambun assemblyman Goh Choon Aik said over the past two years, the pandemic has encouraged online learning among the students.

“Education is key to a better future. With regard to the current development, students must learn to adapt and be proficient in the use of information technology.

 

“The use of information technology is crucial for students to progress,” Goh said in his speech at the ‘Program Ramah Mesra Bersama Komuniti’ recently.

 

The programme, which was held at the Dewan MPKK Bandar Cassia, was co-organised by the Pertubuhan Wanita Mutiara Pulau Pinang and the Bukit Tambun state constituency service centre.

 

The programme also saw the distribution of free laptops to 15 students from the B40 families, thanks to Plastech Precision Holding Sdn Bhd.

“Children from a harmonious and united family will feel more empowered to do well and contribute to social development in the future,” Tan, who is also the wife of Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, said.

 

Sneham Malaysia president Datuk Dr Florence Sinniah also held a sharing session to guide women and single mothers who were facing difficulties.
