THE Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) can introduce effective crowd management measures to prevent overcrowding at Penang Hill.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said PHC had been giving attractive rates (Sunrise and Sunset rates) to encourage visitors to visit the hill during ‘off-peak’ period.
“There are measures which can be taken to control the crowd if the cable car project takes place,” he told a press conference in Komtar today.
Chow was replying to a question on whether the Penang Hill could see an increase in visitors with the proposed Penang Hill cable car project.
He added that the proposal was currently being studied.
“Nothing has been finalised,” he said.
