Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow who attended the launching ceremony of the conference today, said that the RIE 2018 conference will certainly help to advance Penang as an electrical and electronics engineering hub internationally.

“RIE Conference 2018 series aims to be the de-facto engineering conference for the global community and potential investors (foreign and local) as well as to showcase the latest technological advances and practices to further propel the industrial sector towards another level of world class excellence in the 21st century.

“As everyone (globally) are moving towards the 4th Industrial Revolution, this conference will certainly help to promote Penang as an electrical and electronics engineering hub on the global stage.

“I take this opportunity to thank the Institution of Engineers Malaysia, Datuk Prof Ir Eric Goh (RIE 2018 organizing chairperson) and his team for their commitment, and sponsors who have given tremendous support to make this conference a success,” said Chow.
