THE Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) has been urged to find an effective solution to resolve the low water pressure issue at Taman Seri Rambai and its nearby areas in Paya Terubong.

Paya Terubong assemblyman Yeoh Soon Hin, who is also the state Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman, said he took this matter very seriously.

“The problem of the low water pressure has been going on for years but since the past two months, it has been getting worse.

“This is very unfortunate for thousands of residents here as they have to deal with this problem every day.

“This kind of problem also has caused a lot of difficulties in their daily life as water is essential to them as well as to all of us.

“As an elected representative for Paya Terubong, I have already made an official report to PBAPP to work on this issue urgently.

“They should look into the matter seriously and find out the main cause of the problems and work on the solution.

“After all, we cannot let this problem to continue any longer,” Yeoh told a press conference at Dewan MPKK Paya Terubong today.

After the press conference, Yeoh also visited the housing areas.

A representative from PBAPP, who also joined the visit but did not want to be named, said they are still in the process of troubleshooting.

“The piping system at Taman Seri Rambai and nearby areas is all in good condition.

“There is no leakage as well at the main pipe.

“Rest assured, we are doing our best to solve this problem,” he said.
