Festive glow: Red lanterns transform Presgrave Street

PRESGRAVE Street glowed with red lanterns and festive decor today, radiating a warm welcome to the Chinese New Year.

 

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow led the Kwong Wah Yit Poh CNY Spring Festival Street Celebration lighting ceremony at Wisma Kwong Wah Yit Poh, joined by key figures such as state Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai, Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Wong Yuee Harng, and Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng.

 

The lively event featured lion dances and music, with the leaders walking to the adorned street entrance, signaling its readiness for the Chinese New Year festivities.

 

Chow expressed gratitude for being part of the festive inauguration, a tradition since 2011.

 

Kwong Wah Yit Poh promises a vibrant Kwong Wah Yit Poh CNY Spring Festival Street Celebration, including engaging activities and games to elevate the Chinese New Year spirit for visitors on Jan 27 from 5pm to midnight.
