YOUTHS in Penang can grab the scholarship opportunity to study at Manipal International University (MIU), in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

The university’s marketing and student recruitment head Joshua Leong said MIU is offering scholarships and financial assistance for any enrolment from Feb 1 this year to March 31, 2023.

“They are applicable on tuition fees only.

“The university has offered the scholarships and financial assistance following the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MIU and Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) in January.

“The scholarships offered are for Foundation, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, as well as Postgraduate programmes.

“The scholarships are between 10% and 100% depending on the programmes,” Leong told a media conference at Bagan Jermal Youth Centre today.

It was stated in a press statement that applicants who are on 100% scholarship (Foundation programme) must progress to any MIU Bachelor’s Degree programme.

Leong also said that financial assistance of RM3,000 was offered to applicants in the Diploma programme, while RM4,000 was offered to applicants in the Bachelor’s Degree programme.

“Applications for the enrolment should be verified and referred to MIU by PYDC to be eligible for the scholarship and financial assistance,” he said.

Also present were state Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee and PYDC general manager Dr Gwee Sai Ling.
