GoPro opened its first Concept Store in Penang at Gurney Plaza on Nov 22 and invited state exco member for Tourism Development, Heritage, Culture & Arts Yeoh Soon Hin as the Guest of Honour.
Yeoh, in his speech, highlighted the importance of Penang as a popular tourist destination and having GoPro around with its range of action cameras, mobile apps and video editing software, would result in interesting collaboration for the promotion of tourism.
“Penang is a popular tourist destination and a living heritage with many outstanding universal values but we must still keep on improving and creating new things for visitors to see and explore.
“With the opening and launch of the first GoPro Concept Store in Penang, I’m looking forward to future collaborations in the coming months between GoPro and Penang attractions to drive more tourists to Penang,” he said.
Also present were Funsportz director Khoo Boo Hian, Thunder Match business development director John Chin and popular multilingual TV host Baki Zainal.
