Follow friends and family as they run with PBIM 2019 live tracker app

GET closer to the longest bridge marathon in the world by downloading the Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) official running app.

Equipped with valuable information and great features, one may now keep tabs on the whereabouts of your loved ones during the Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) 2019 on Nov 24 through the live tracking app.

PBIM organising chairman Yeoh Soon Hin said the app is available on IOS and Android for free and is sponsored by IJM Land Berhad in collaboration with the PBIM committee.

“This is the second year PBIM has launched the mobile app which will be able to benefit more than 25,000 participants of the race,” Yeoh told a press conference in Komtar today.

Also present were IJM Land assistant general manager (contracts) Ch’ng Ewe Ghee, Runners Unite project director Tan Chin Chin and Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau head of sales Tricia Loh.

“We would also like to thank IJM for continuing to sponsor us for the second year. This indeed will bring PBIM to a higher level and make it a memorable spectacle for all runners,” added Yeoh, who is also the state Tourism Development, Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee chairman.

Yeoh said the app would also provide runners with the latest PBIM updates at their fingertips, including event programme, road closure information, starting time, course maps for full marathon, half marathon, 10km and others.

“Participants can also capture the moment through selfies using the app with exclusive PBIM templates which can be shared via social media or messaging platforms.”
