Getting Covid-19 quarantine centre in Jawi ready

THE state Health Department is in the process of opening up yet another Covid-19 low-risk quarantine and treatment centre at the Mara Excellence Centre in Jawi, Seberang Perai.

 

The handing over ceremony of the centre by the state Public Works Department (JKR) to the state Health Department was held yesterday.

The centre is scheduled to resume operations on Wednesday (March 10).

 

Tzu Chi members, led by Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merits Society Commissioner Khoo Boo Leong, were present to help do the markings at the four halls today, and assist personnel from government agencies assemble the beds.

 

On top of that, Tzu Chi members will set up 17 canopies at the centre tomorrow.
