SCHOOL leavers and individuals alike, who are eagerly looking to pursue their tertiary education, can get themselves equipped with the latest educational programmes offered by top institutions nationwide at the Malaysia Education Fair.
Organised by Edu Success Group Sdn Bhd , the fair is happening today and tomorrow (April 2) at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre from 11am to 6pm.
It is learnt that a total of 45 institutions have set up their booths, offering industry-relevant courses that would set schools leavers and individuals equally interested to accelerate their careers to the next level.
State Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee, who was present to kick off the weekend-long education fair, said there is a growing need to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a rapidly evolving job market.
“As technology continues to advance, we must ensure that our students are well prepared for the changing demands of the workforce that reflect the needs of a globalised workforce.
“Realising this importance, the state government, through the Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC), has always ensured that upskilling in tertiary education is essential to ensure that youth remain relevant and in line with the demands of the industry.
“We have also worked and networked with educational institutions and industrial partners to incorporate experiential learning opportunities into their tertiary education to build their networks and stay connected to the real business and industrial world.
“With such collaboration, we want to help our youth to stay ahead of the curve and meet the changing demands of the job market today,” Soon said in his speech before officiating the education fair today.
Some of the institutions include INTI International College Penang, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC PG), UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, DISTED College, SENTRAL College Penang, SEGi College Penang, Equator College Penang, AIMST University.
