THE 12th China Processing Trade Products Fair (CPTPF) is scheduled to be held at Guangdong Modern Exhibition Centre in China next year on April 16 -19.

The upcoming session will further highlight internationalisation and specialisation.

“So far, enterprises from more than 20 countries including Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam have signed up to participate in the fair,” state Tourism Developement, Heritage, Culture & Arts Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin said when he launched the 12th China Processing Trade Products Fair Promotion Seminar & Economic Trade Matchmaking Meeting at Golden Sands Hotel in Batu Ferringhi today.

Yeoh added that CPTPF would help improve the trade relations between China and Malaysia, besides encouraging investments between both countries.

He said he was also positive that both sides would benefit economically from the trade products fair.

Also present were Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (Penang Branch) committee member, Jimmy Ooi and Dongguan Foreign Investment Promotion Centre director, Huang Wenli.

Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People Republic of China, the State Intellectual Property Office and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province China, CPTPF was first established in 2009 as the Guangdong Foreign-Funded Enterprise Products Expo.

It has been held successfully for 11 sessions.

“During the past 11 years, CPTPF has received more than 10,000 enterprise exhibitors and over 1.2 million buyers and visitors.

“CPTPF is mainly aiming at exploring the huge mainland China market, in which the total retail sales of consumer goods reached RM380.87 billion in 2018,” he said.
