A CHINESE temple and a sports organisation received financial assistance from Bagan Member of Parliament Lim Guan Eng to support their activities at the Air Putih Assemblyman Service Centre today.
The Thai Seong Loh Koon Deity Worshippers Association in Air Itam received RM3,500 and was represented by its chairman Tan Thean Aik, secretary Ewe Tuan Aik and committee member Poh Sim Lim. Meanwhile, the Shang Wu Sports and Cultural Association, represented by its secretary Kieve Koh, received RM4,000.
Lim also said that more than 2,000 lanterns have been installed across the Air Putih and Air Itam constituencies to enhance the festive atmosphere ahead of the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.
Also present at the cheque presentation ceremony were Air Itam assemblyman Joseph Ng Soon Siang, former Tanjong MP and former Komtar assemblyman Ng Wei Aik, MPKK Taman Reservoir chairman Khaw Sim Choi, MPKK Kampong Bharu chairman Habibah Mat, and Lim Guan Eng’s staff members Hong Kian Beng and Lum Chia How.
