THE Women’s Centre for Change (WCC) is organising a jumbo sale to raise funds for the centre.
All proceeds from the jumbo sale will go towards supporting WCC’s work on ending violence against women and children.
The event will be held from 10am to 4pm on June 22 and 23 at the WCC office premises at 241, Jalan Burmah, Penang.
WCC president Susan Siew said the jumbo sale would feature a wide range of quality pre-loved goods including clothes, household and kitchen items, books, and much more at unbeatable prices.
“We are amazed by the generosity of people who donated thousands of pre-loved items to us.
“A silent auction will also be held, where high-end items like handbags, golf sets and others are up for bidding. Besides that, there will be many toys and games on sale,” she said today.
WCC fundraising ambassador Datuk Annie Chin said she would purchase such toys for her grandchildren as some of them were in virtually new condition.
Persiaran Gurney Village Community Management Council (MPKK) chairman Ooi Su Ching, who represented Pulau Tikus assemblyman Chris Lee, voiced her support for the event.
