‘Jump Stronger’ and save lives

WE can all make a difference in the lives of cancer patients on April 29 by jumping stronger on trampolines!

Yes, Penang Adventist Hospital will be holding a fundraiser called ‘Jump Stronger’ to aid the hospital’s Cancer Fund.

Hospital chief executive officer Ronald Koh said participants will have the opportunity to participate in a jumping workout on trampoline beds for 30 minutes led by instructors.

“We are always looking for creative and effective ways to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged.

“We are passionate about our mission and always believe that everyone deserves a chance to enjoy themselves while contributing to a great cause.

“We all know how trampolines work. The harder you jump or bounce, the higher you go up.

“Now, that’s just simple physics but the metaphor we want to portray through this event is the ability to bounce back.

“It is a reminder that cancer patients, just like the trampoline jumpers, can experience setbacks in life, but with the right support and help, they can always find a way to bounce back.

“Hence, I am appealing to all the fun, loving people out there to join this event with your family and friends.

“Jump for fun, jump for good health and most importantly, jump for the needy,” Koh said in his speech during the ‘Jump Stronger’ press conference at Penang Adventist Hospital today.

A registration fee of RM50 will be charged for each participant, and it is learnt that the hospital aims to raise RM200,000 through this cause.

The event will be held at Gurney Plaza (Alfresco area) from 7.30pm to 10pm.

Sungai Pinang assemblyman Lim Siew Khim was present earlier at the press conference.

Meanwhile, Koh also commended Lim for her support all these years.

“We are also happy to announce that YB Lim has pledged to take on the 30-minute trampoline jump at the event.

“This is going to be really exciting, and it always gives an extra boost when we have our state representatives coming forward to support us in our initiatives,” Koh added.

Event partners are Gurney Plaza, X-Jumping, Howei Events and Black Sugar Dynasty Enterprise.
