TWO private companies and a non-governmental organisation (NGO) today did their bit by providing their assistance to the health authorities in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

With the surge of Covid-19 cases in recent weeks, the health authorities have sounded the alarm that the healthcare system is at breaking point.

Following this, Jishan Charity Bukit Mertajam, Nihoma Group of Companies and AVX Manufacturing (M) Sdn Bhd have come forward to contribute useful items.

Jishan Charity Bukit Mertajam and Nihoma Group of Companies donated two units of NIHOMA Core Stand Water Dispenser (N0220-CH) as well as 12,000 bottles of mineral water (1.5 litres) for the use of staff and patients at the low-risk Covid-19 centres (LRCC).

Apart from that, AVX Manufacturing (M) Sdn Bhd contributed two units of defibrillator machines to the Penang Health Department to be placed at Balik Pulau Sports Complex which was gazetted as a low-risk Covid-19 centre.
