THE shortlisted names for senatorships will be tabled in the upcoming State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday (March 7), Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said.
“The state nominees for senatorships would fill the vacant seats left by its two former senators after the 15th General Election.
The two former senators were Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek and Deputy Education Minister Lim Hui Ying.
Chow said the motion (to fill the vacant seats of two members of the Senate) would be tabled.
“The State Legislative Assembly will then consider the nominees for the two senatorships,” he said at the sidelines of the 10th Symposium of Chinese Clans in South East Asia + China cum International Youth Forum at St Giles The Wembley Hotel today.
Chow was earlier asked by a reporter about the update on the state nominees for senatorships.
