INVESTPenang today officially unveiled its new corporate logo as part of its new brand identity.

The new corporate identity, an in-house design, reinforces the evolution and expansion of the agency’s services since its establishment 15 years ago.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow was pleased to be part of the auspicious occasion on the launching of the new logo.

The new look is being applied across all collaterals, name cards, streamers, presentation decks and InvestPenang’s website, which is currently being revamped.

Although the logo has evolved, Chow pointed out its roots and focus remain unchanged, which is to promote Penang as a location of choice for technology, business and industry.

“Its encouraging foreign direct investment (FDI) figures clearly show Penang is a preferred destination for high quality investments.

“Penang attracted RM8.5 billion of FDI for the first quarter of this year.

“To cap it off, these investments are expected to create 10,073 new job opportunities in the state,” Chow said in his speech before officiating the new corporate logo.

Datuk Seri Lee Kah Choon, the InvestPenang director, said the new logo was a celebration of the evolution and enthusiasm in embracing the future.

“Our role today has expanded to a growing number of initiatives in attracting, developing and retaining talents,” he said.

Lee also said the newly redesigned website would adopt a more contemporary and streamlined look with the interactive features for easy navigation.

“Our new identity is forward-looking and professional,” he added.

Also present were state Local and International Trade, Consumer Affairs and Entrepreneurship Development Committee chairman Datuk Abdul Halim Hussain and InvestPenang chief executive officer Datuk Loo Lee Lian.
