PENANG’S retail experience remains vibrant and has attracted Nitori – Japan’s largest furniture and home furnishing chain – to grow in the state and the northern region.

Set to open its doors to shoppers on June 15, the Nitori outlet at Gurney Paragon Mall Penang is offering a wide range of products for every room in your home.

Nitori Studio Living features various types of furniture to enhance your living area.

Nitori Gurney Paragon manager Yoshida Tetsuma said the outlet is the eighth Nitori outlet in Malaysia.

Nitori Pavilion Bukit Jalil store operations department office manager Miura Chikara said five outlets were in Kuala Lumpur and two were in Johor.

“This (Gurney Paragon Mall) Nitori outlet is the first in the northern region,” he told reporters during a media tour of the outlet recently.

Yoshida added that Nitori has launched over 908 stores in five countries and regions.

“It is the number one interior retailer in Japan,” he added.

At the store in Gurney Paragon Mall, Yoshida said one of Nitori’s best-selling products was the Diatomite bathmat which absorbs water quickly and feels comfortable and dry when the user steps on it.

Yoshida and Miura also showed the media the unique feature of the Diatomite bathmat.
