TWO senior citizen homes namely, The Penang Buddhist Association Senior Citizen Home and Evershine Old Folks Home have received financial assistance from Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, who is also the Tanjong MP.

Chow presented RM10,000 aid each to Penang Buddhist Association Senior Citizen Home vice-chairman Peter Khoo Boo Hin and Evershine Old Folks Home manager K. Uthaya Kumar when he visited the two organisations today.

Khoo said the organisation, which currently has more than 30 residents, is strictly adhering to the Covid-19 precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the senior citizens.

“Although we are transitioning to the endemic phase, our association is still taking extra care.

“Sanitisation will be done once a month, and we also require our staff to take the RTK-antigen test once every two weeks.

“Those who wish to donate to our organisation must contact us in advance,” he said.
