THE organisers of the Colourful Run 4.0 aim to collect RM100,000 for the welfare of the Penang Deaf Association (PDA) members.
State Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee said the run would be held on Sept 22 from Dewan Sri Pinang at 7.30am.
“The 5.5km run, to be held in conjunction with the celebration of World Deaf Weak, is organised by Penang Deaf Association in collaboration with Penang Island City Council, Penang State Sports Council and Malaysia Deaf Association,” Soon told a press conference at Komtar this morning.
Also present was PDA chairman Tan Eng Teik.
Soon said the Colourful Run 4.0 would be the fourth in the series, with the initial run held on Sept 25, 2016 involving some 700 participants.
Meanwhile, Tan said the organising committee targeted 1,000 participants fof the run.
“The closing date will be on Sept 15. Entries will be on a first come, first served basis,” he added.
