PENANG Development Corporation will continue to play its role as a ‘game changer’ in the state.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the state agency would lead the future socio-economic development of Penang in terms of investment, industry, land development, affordable housing and other social responsibilities.

“As the state government’s premier development agency, PDC together with other strategic development partners from the public and private sectors, has an important role to play in the state’s growth. This is in line with the Penang 2030 vision of a Family-Focused Green and Smart State that Inspires the Nation.

“The state government is optimistic with this dynamism and fighting spirit for all of us to rise again after being badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic that has now transitioned to the endemic phase,” Chow said in his speech during the PDC 2022 Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration at the PDC premises today. He is also the PDC chairman.

Earlier, organising chairman Nazril Ghulam Hussain said, as usual, PDC has continued its corporate social responsibility practices by donating RM10,070 to orphans at the Permata Kasih Care Centre. The donations came from current and former staff members, with the cooperation of Puspanita and PDC Sports Club.

While the guests and staff members enjoyed the luncheon, they were treated to a traditional Malay dance by a dance troupe and also serenaded by veteran singer Datuk L. Ramli.
