Ishak, 56, was transferred to Penang after serving as the Perlis APM director for the past 10 years, while Cuthbert, 45, would be transferred to head the Melaka APM as its director from Feb 1.

“Thank you for all your services to Penang and I hope the experience here will enrich your life as you continue to serve in Melaka,” Chow told Cuthbert.

Cuthbert, who hails from Penampang, Sabah, said he was glad to have given his best while in Penang although his term lasted one year and two months.

Chow, turning to Ishak, said: “Welcome to Penang. I wish you all the best too.”

Ishak said: “I’m aware of the challenges and I will do my utmost to help overcome the Covid-19 situation as soon as possible.”
