THE good quality of life in Penang has earned praises from the Bank of China (Penang branch) manager Hu Zhe.
Hu gave the thumbs up and showered Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow with praise during a courtesy visit in Komtar today.
“The quality of life in Penang is so good. I have only stayed here for a year and I have fell in love with the state.
“I feel very much at home here. I will celebrate the Chinese New Year in Penang and experience the various festive atmosphere during this period.
Hu’s hometown is in Beijing, China. He has been staying in Kuala Lumpur for six years before moving to Penang last year (2019).
Chow thanked Hu for the compliment.
“Penang has a lot to offer both locals and tourists. During the festive seasons, there would be a number of open houses.
Chow and Hu also exchanged views on the economies of China and Malaysia.
They took the opportunity to wish each other a prosperous start to the Year of the Rat.
Also present was Bank of China senior banking services executive Grace Lee Hooi Li.
