Penang expresses appreciation for civil servants’ dedication

CIVIL servants in Penang are set to receive a half-month special financial aid, with a minimum payment of RM1,000 as part of the state’s 2024 Budget.

 

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow announced that this special aid, totalling RM6.045 million, aims to benefit 3,867 civil servants in Penang.

 

Expressing gratitude for the commitment and dedication of Penang’s civil servants, Chief Minister Chow emphasised their integral role in successfully implementing state policies.

 

“The allocation for this special aid serves as a token of appreciation for their contributions, and the Penang government hopes it will motivate civil servants to continue delivering excellent public service,” he said.

 

The aid disbursement is scheduled for December 2023, according to the announcement made during the presentation of the state’s 2024 Budget at the Penang Legislative Assembly today.

 

Furthermore, the Penang government has earmarked RM1.005 million in financial aid for supervisors and KAFA teachers, primary and secondary religious school teachers, as well as staff and teachers at private Chinese schools, guru tahfiz, guru pondok, and guru TADIS.

 

In this additional assistance, supervisors and KAFA teachers, primary and secondary religious schoolteachers, staff, and teachers at private Chinese schools will each receive RM300.

 

Guru tahfiz, guru pondok, and guru TADIS will also receive RM300 each.

 

The distribution of this aid is also scheduled for December 2023.
