THE Penang State Government, through Penang Harmony Corporation (Harmonico), in collaboration with the Christian Federation Malaysia Penang Liaison Committee, Tanjong Parliament Service Centre and local churches, will hold the Penang State Christmas Celebration 2025 at St George’s Church, George Town, on Dec 6 from 3pm to 10pm.
Carrying the theme “United: Faith, Hope & Love”, this year’s celebration underscores the spirit of unity within Penang’s diverse community, as the Christian community commemorates the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed. A historic declaration of faith that continues to shape Christian traditions worldwide. The celebration also seeks to spread the spirit of joy, happiness, and gratitude across all communities.
The Penang government remains dedicated to honouring the state’s diversity of faiths and cultures, while encouraging participation from all backgrounds to foster mutual understanding and harmony.
A diverse lineup of activities has been curated for this year’s event. Highlights include a vibrant Christmas Market, live performances, and a variety of food trucks, promising an enjoyable experience for all. Members of the public from all walks of life are warmly invited to join and share in the festive cheer.
In celebrating and upholding the true spirit of unity, the celebration will also feature a Christmas Parade by participating churches and Christian organisations. This parade will not only spread Christmas cheer and blessings throughout George Town but also serve as a meaningful expression of togetherness.
