THE Penang government has welcomed the latest lineup of Federal Government Cabinet members announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday (Dec 16).
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said he was confident that the prime minister had given due consideration before finalising the appointments.
“I believe the prime minister has formed this new Cabinet to ensure it can achieve its objectives as the administration enters the latter part of its term, and that it can effectively implement all policies and programmes for the people.
“This is important to ensure that the rakyat can experience the positive impact of the planned development initiatives and welfare assistance.
“Therefore, I hope the new Cabinet members and deputy ministers will continue to carry out the Federal Government’s agenda, policies, and programmes effectively within their respective ministries,” Chow told reporters when asked for his comments today.
