CHIEF Minister Chow Kon Yeow expressed confidence that Pakatan Harapan (PH) in Negeri Sembilan would continue to make full use of the remaining campaign period ahead of the state election on Aug 1 to strengthen support and defend its seats.
Speaking to reporters earlier today in Bayan Lepas, Chow said his observations were based on only a handful of locations and should not be taken as an overall assessment of voter sentiment across Negeri Sembilan.
“I cannot comment on the entire state because I only visited a few locations. The level of support varies from place to place. There are areas where support is encouraging, while in others, more effort is needed in mobilising voters,” he said.
Chow said he believed the PH campaign team would maximise the remaining days before polling to consolidate support, retain the seats previously held before the dissolution of the state assembly and work towards securing additional constituencies.
Responding to a question on his visit to the Chennah state constituency, Chow said he had only visited two locations during the trip, a Malay-majority settlement and the town of Titi, which has a predominantly Chinese community.
He reiterated that the response was mixed, with some areas showing encouraging support while others would require continued engagement and outreach in the lead-up to polling day.
