PAKATAN Harapan will stay focused on preparations for the upcoming General Election (GE) despite the Rumah Bangsa agenda introduced by Umno, says Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

Chow, who is also the Penang Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman, was responding to a reporter’s question on whether the Rumah Bangsa agenda could pose a threat to the PH government or the DAP.

“What is happening externally is beyond our control. Our focus should instead be on our work.

“We should take care of our own homes and strengthen our support,” Chow said during a press conference held at St Giles Wembley Hotel after attending the Penang Women Chamber of Commerce (PWCC)’s 8th Chinese New Year and Women’s Day Celebration today.

Earlier, it was reported that through its ‘Rumah Bangsa agenda’ initiative, Umno is welcoming back former members who were expelled or suspended, as well as new individuals wishing to join, in a move aimed at strengthening unity within the party.

The announcement was made by party president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
